Welcome to The Torrance Tide! By subscribing to, advertising in, or purchasing from The Tide, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. They’re straightforward, a little friendlier than most, and designed to keep everything running smoothly.

Who We Are

The Torrance Tide is a local newsletter dedicated to treating the South Bay like a living treasure map. We share stories, events, and discoveries that help this community feel more connected. Our content is delivered by email (and maybe in print someday, if the tide rolls that way).

2. Newsletter Content

We do our best to be accurate and timely. Still, event details can change, businesses adjust their hours, and sometimes typos sneak through. We’re not responsible for changes outside our control, but we’ll always strive to provide useful, reliable information.

3. Advertisers + Sponsors

Advertising partners agree to:

Submit ad content on time.
Provide truthful, accurate information.
Understand that all ads are subject to editorial approval.

We may reject or cancel ads that don’t fit our standards. Refunds will be provided if an ad is canceled by us.

4. Digital Products & Guides

Purchasing a digital product gives you a license to use it—it cannot be copied, resold, or redistributed. All sales are final, unless the file is defective. If something doesn’t work, contact us and we’ll make it right.

5. Refunds & Cancellations

Advertising

Missed deadlines or cancellations after payment are non-refundable.
If we cancel your ad, you’ll have the option to reschedule or receive a refund.

Digital Products

All sales are final.
Defective or corrupted files? Contact us within 14 days for a replacement or refund.

Refunds, when applicable, are processed within 5–7 business days.

6. Intellectual Property

All original content, photos, and designs are copyrighted by The Torrance Tide unless otherwise stated. Sharing is welcome with credit and a link back, but please don’t copy or redistribute without permission.

7. Privacy

We value your privacy and are committed to protecting it. When you subscribe, advertise, or purchase through The Torrance Tide, we may collect information such as your name, email address, and payment details (if applicable).

We use this information only to deliver the newsletter, process transactions, and communicate with you. We do not sell or trade your personal data. Information may be shared only with trusted service providers (like email or payment platforms) who help us operate The Tide, or if required by law.
